This book provides much needed practice for the PE student. The students should time the exam and conduct the exam in a setting similar to the real exam. Then the student should look thru the solutions and find where he/she went wrong. The student should identify his/her weak areas and spend more time studying those areas. Then after student had achieved a higher degree of confidence he/she should do the second exam. Then repeat the process for the all four exams. --Geotechweb.com

Great book. Some of the problems from the PE were almost the same. Totally worth the cash. The only thing I didn't care for was some of the answers didn't show the quickest way to solve them. There are a lot easier ways to solve most of the problems than shown in the solutions.

The problems are easier than other books, but they are set up well and the solutions are laid out nicely and easy to follow. I also like that they have some problems where the answer you get is not exactly what the answer choices are making you question yourself.
