too much to ask of it's readers

bizarre theory that could possibly and probably explain very little of mythology and religious roots, but to pain a broad brush over everything with this theory is, well, bizarre. to say that all cultures spent the time to hide the planetary events in the complex and many stories of old makes no sense! if that were the case, if it were REALLY the case, then one of them, or TWO, would of written it as it was, the planetary event. they ALL wouldn't of hidden it in such allegory, fable, and metaphor. really mr alford?

I had enjoyed very much reading Alan Alford's book "Gods of the new millennium", so I bought this book without hesitation. The subject of this book is the author's attempt to prove that ancient Sumerian and Old Testament texts about gods, actually speak about meteorites that had fallen to Earth. I respect the authors opinion. Unfortunately the book left me with the impression that Mr.Alford had a good 'contract' in hand but was short of ideas ...
