Be careful what catches your attention... You never know what happens next.

Brett’s relationship with Myserra has gone a little bit off the rails of late. Myserra is not spending as much time with Brett as she used to which Brett finds hard to take, at one point being rather short with Myserra and when she leaves him alone for some time, he finds that things just become worse. A mysterious bracelet catches his attention and Brett discovers that when a Succubus leaves something out in the open, it can change things in ways one would never expect.

Myserra and Ashley do not appear for very long in this work, as it is really focused on Brett alone. It is clear that Myserra has something in mind for Brett, the comment she makes at the beginning of the story makes that very clear, and the means to make that happen is both cute and wonderfully told. They do, of course, appear by the end of the story again, to make sure that Brett, or rather Brooke, gets everything out of her lesson, and the twist in the ending is a neat little one that I didn’t see coming earlier in the work.

Brett’s transformation into “Bimbo Brooke” is told in a way that makes it very subtle and by the time that Brett realizes that something is happening to him, it’s far too late to do anything about it. Not that he could at any rate as Myserra’s trap for her submissive works really quite well. The Brooke that has been seen before isn’t the Brooke that appears in this work. She’s very much a bimbo, but there is also something a bit different about her. She does try to fight her transformation, attempts to control herself as much as she can, but over time she falls further and further into Myserra’s trap. When it finally closes completely, Brooke is a cute little sex toy that has quite the experience with her Mistress and her new found friend in the story.
I liked the mental shifting of Brett to Brooke and then how Brooke turned the corner into being the best bimbo she could possibly be. The shifts in attitude and character build up slowly over time and to Brett and Brooke’s point of view, when they do shift, it’s fairly seamless and not noticed too much by him/herself.

There are two very hot scenes in the work, one that introduces a new character to the series which I thought was lovely, and the other when Myserra and Ashley return that takes Brooke into being completely bimbo in nature and finding out what that means in some very hot ways. Two really well told hot flashes, but the mind control and body transformations are really the core of the story and as such they make the work very strong as a whole.
The author knows his characters and how they act, what they do, and more importantly, how things come to the climax aren’t out of place. I would have liked to see a bit more of Bimbo Brett getting into some “situations”, more than she did. I think I would like to see her return again sometime, perhaps Brett will see this side of him/herself as being a treat in more ways than one.

Certainly Brett will have learned not to touch things that he doesn’t recognize. Succubi have all sorts of things to play with… or to play with others you know…

Four and a half out of five pitchforks.

Just a wonderfully fun work that just made me smile throughout. It was wonderful to see Brett, through Brooke, be something different than she usually is. It gives a different perspective on things, what could have been, what might have been, and what could, possibly, return again some time. A lovely light, joyful, and cute story that I really did enjoy…

About the Author
Svetlozar (Zari) T. Rachev completed his Ph.D. Degree in 1979 from Moscow State (Lomonosov) University, and his Doctor of Science Degree in 1986 from Steklov Mathematical Institute in Moscow. Currently he is Chair-Professor in Statistics, Econometrics and Mathematical Finance at the University of Karlsruhe in the School of Economics and Business Engineering. He is also Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability. He has published seven monographs, eight handbooks and special-edited volumes, and over 250 research articles. Professor Rachev is cofounder of Bravo Risk Management Group specializing in financial risk-management software. Bravo Group was recently acquired by FinAnalytica for which he currently serves as Chief-Scientist.

Stefan Mittnik studied at the Technical University Berlin, Germany, the University of Sussex, England, and at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received his doctorate degree in economics. He is now Professor of Financial Econometrics at the University of Munich, Germany, and research director at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich. Prior to joining the University of Munich he taught at SUNYStony Brook, New York, the University of Kiel, Germany, and held several visiting positions, including that of Fulbright Distinguished Chair at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on financial econometrics, risk management, and portfolio optimization. In addition to purely academic interests, Professor Mittnik directs the risk management program at the Center for Financial Studies in Frankfurt, Germany, and is co-founder of the Institut f�r Quantitative Finanzanalyse (IQF) in Kiel, where he now chairs the scientific advisory board.

Frank J. Fabozzi is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Becton Fellow in the School of Management at Yale University. Prior to joining the Yale faculty, he was a Visiting Professor of Finance in the Sloan School at MIT. Professor Fabozzi is a Fellow of the International Center for Finance at Yale University and on the Advisory Council for the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University. He is the editor of The Journal of Portfolio Management and an associate editor of the The Journal of Fixed Income. He earned a doctorate in economics from the City University of New York in 1972. In 2002 Professor Fabozzi was inducted into the Fixed Income Analysts Society’s Hall of Fame. He earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant. He has authored and edited numerous books in finance.

Sergio Focardi is a partner of The Intertek Group and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Portfolio Management. He is the (co-) author of numerous articles and books on financial modeling and risk management, including the CFA Institute’s recent monograph Trends in Quantitative Finance (co-authors Fabozzi and Kolm) and the award-winning books Financial Modeling of the Equity Market (co-authors Fabozzi and Kolm, Wiley) and The Mathematics of Financial Modeling and Investment Management (co-author Fabozzi, Wiley). Mr. Focardi has implemented long-short portfolio construction applications based on dynamic factor analysis and conducts research in the econometrics of large equity portfolios and the modeling of regime changes. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Genoa and a postgraduate degree in Communications from the Galileo Ferraris Electrotechnical Institute (Turin).

Teo Jasic earned his doctorate (Dr.rer.pol.) in economics from the University of Karlsruhe in 2006. He also holds an MSc degree from the National University of Singapore and a Dipl.-Ing. degree from the University of Zagreb. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Chair ofStatistics, Econometrics and Mathematical Finance at the University of Karlsruhe in the School of Economics and Business Engineering. He is also a senior manager in Financial & Risk Management Group of a leading international management consultancy firm in Frankfurt, Germany. Great book. Some of the problems from the PE were almost the same. Totally worth the cash. The only thing I didn't care for was some of the answers didn't show the quickest way to solve them. There are a lot easier ways to solve most of the problems than shown in the solutions.

Another great job

Although this and all of Dr. Olukoya work is great, displaying truths in an awesome manner from a righteous perspective, I strongly recommend that his team that is responsible for proof reading do a more thorough job before approving for printing and publishing to be released. The message, nonetheless still gets out and across, typos and all. It would just be better if they were caught and corrected first. Again, this doesn't take away from the powerful truths shared and in no way suggest undermining his God given mandate. This is my perspective on all of both he and his wife's books that I have read and studied.

Their investigation takes them to a chicken house, where they end up saving the birds from a hungry fox. The smoothly paced text is filled with dialogue that energetically ping-pongs between animal characters, and children will giggle over the cows' leaps in logic and bumbling sleuthing, illustrated to great effect in candy-colored pictures. The Rare Really Amusing Early Reader book

These books sort of work on the Muppets theory - interesting and personable characters, a bit of a plot, and a few chuckles for the parent reader. There's more dialogue than usual, which I like in an early reader. There's no heavy message, but there is a gentle good-natured vibe. The illustrations have a lot of energy, but the book as a whole isn't frantic or hyper. It's hard to find books that are engaging without grabbing you and screaming at you. The Minnie and Moo books are calmer than that, and sometimes that's a good thing. And anyway, what could be more interesting than the whereabouts of a missing jelly donut?

The 'geneaology' of text

Bibliography is not the subject of this book. If you are a teacher, don't assign it to students as a guide to citing sources.
Sociology of text ('histoire du livre,' as the author says) is the subject. Do assign it to advanced undergraduate or graduate students who want a lucid explanation of this basic reciprocity: text is historically, socially, culturally produced and received; in turn, text creates or alters history, society, and culture.
The author was a British bibliographer concerned with text in any medium, not only print. He was widely known for his work on orality and literacy in New Zealand. In this accessible book (based on a series of lectures), McKenzie lays out a critical theory of text as a cultural artifact that applies to any form of recorded information in any medium, and that is useful in any text-dependent discipline. His topic is how the material form of texts determines their potential meanings.
His primary examples, the 1835 Declaration of Indendence and 1840 Treaty of Waitangi by which sovereignty in New Zealand shifted from the Maori to the British, is a superb case study of textual authority as it is complicated by oral culture, literacies, technologies of rhetoric, and print culture. By itself, this chapter's material analysis and textual criticism of documentation in treaty-making between indigenous people and colonizers is worth the price of the book.

Good Read - Thought Provoking

The Haunting of Willow Tree Court is an interesting book. A paranormal mystery is what I would call it.

The book is by and large well written. A few mistakes got past the editing process (pallet for palette, and flatware for tableware) and normally this will put me off a book; however over all the writing was good enough and the story engaging enough to keep me hooked.

Sally is a young woman who survived a car accident that killed her young daughter. Her recovery and learning to live again, becoming able to deal with her demons, reconnecting with those she needs to and letting go of all the people she needs to in order to survive combines to make a page turner.

Throw in some really hot, really well done sex scenes and you end up with a wonderful book to curl up with on a cold winter's night.

This author has delighted and surprised me with her telling of a suspenseful and colorful ghost story. There are so many elements that make this story unique and, I believe, will make it a top seller for all adults. Especially those adult readers who are looking for something awesomely unexpected!

I had no idea that Louis L’Amour had written a book about the middle ages. I had read some of his westerns a very long time ago and knew he was a prolific and popular author. But when a friend recommended this book to me knowing I like historical novels about this period, I decided to try it. Five Stars for sure! What incredible research had to be done to write this story of Europe and the Middle East in the 12th Century. I have not read anything from this part of the world in this time period, and it was fascinating. For one thing, this author can write a scene and the reader is there! The surroundings, whether they are on a ship on the sea, in the deep woods, in a terrifying underground tunnel in darkness, or in the beautiful home of a wealthy aristocrat, simply come alive. The feel of wearing filthy sweaty stinking clothing and the feel of fine linen and silks against your body are so real. But to the story..

This is the story of Kerbouchard who is a young Celtic in in Britain when his mother is killed while his father has been away for four years trading and raiding. His father is a famous Corsair/trader/seaman/pirate who has traveled the world and brought home knowledge and customs from other cultures. Kerbouchard was trained as a young boy by the Druids associated with his mother’s family, but also had sailed with fishing vessels and had grown up both on the sea and in the forest. He escapes the men who murdered his mother and burned their house while he was not there, but he falls into the hands of pirates and becomes a galley slave. From there his adventures span a great deal of the civilized world. A great deal of the first half or so of the book take place in Cordoba in Spain which at the time is mostly moslem and very much into learning, books, and intellectual discussion.

I will say one thing from reading the many reviews of this book. Some criticize it because Kerbouchard is telling the story and he is proficient at everything so they consider he is too perfect. For one thing this is fiction – historical fiction but Kerbouchard is a fictitious character. His background and his insatiable quest for knowledge would make such a man – if he survives. He goes from the worst poverty to wealth and back again more times than I remember. He lives by is wit, but he is on a quest from the very beginning of the book. The quest is to find and rescue his father if he still lives, which is in question.

I love history and reading this book with no prior knowledge of the area or the history was amazing. I realize I had no idea how advanced the world was at that time in things like astronomy, geology, history, medicine, and just plain theory. I definitely will re-read this book as now I can savor it instead of reading to find out what will happen. I did struggle with the names – they are all middle-eastern names and very difficult for me to keep straight.

I can’t explain the depth of character this author has created with Kerbouchard. His way of thinking and of getting out of impossible situations is very very interesting. I don’t doubt that in real life such a man in that time period and place probably would not have survived some of them, but this is an adventure story. His constant quest for knowledge is truly inspiring as I know there have been and still are people who live to learn and are more or less obsessed by it.

My favorite part of the book comes some past the half way mark. It is a trek across many countries that I lost track of as the author uses the names they were called in the 12th century. Kerbouchard’s goal is to reach a castle where his father is being held by an Assassin King, but for safety, he becomes part of a caravan of traders. This is a trek of months and months, and it is just amazing that these treks were made. I had read about others where shepherds trekked for whole seasons across Afghanistan and Iraq, and this was similar except these were merchants. They went from one Fair to another trading and buying and selling. How they guarded one another and their loyalty to each other was just wonderful to read. The battle toward the end of this trek was perhaps the best scene written and most realistic I have ever read. If ever a reader was right there in a battle, it is this one.

I did not mean for this to be so long, but this book really caught me up in the story, the history, and the writing. At the back of the book the author says he will write two more books about Kerrbouchard. Sadly, Louis L’Amour died before he wrote those books. I am so glad he wrote this one.

There is some romance as this is a young man alone with no ties to anyone. But it is totally clean and several of the women he “falls for” are above him in station, virgins, and he is an honorable man and remains so.

I have to add the fascinating thing about the title, “The Walking Drum”. Imagine over a thousand people, some on horseback, some with wagons, but most of them walking, along with cattle, goats, and sheep. They continue from morning to night when they camp only to begin the next day. They have the Fairs where they spend a few days, but month after month they march, always prepared for attack which does not happen often but does happen. From the book:

“The walking drum….a heavy, methodical beat marking the step of each of us. That drum rode on a cart at the rear of our column, and the pace of the march could be made faster or slower by that beat. We lived with that sound, all of us, it beat like a great pulse for the whole company and for those others, too, who had their own drums to keep their pace.”

“Nightly camps were each a fortress, our columns like an army on the march. We awakened to a trumpet call, marched upon a second, and all our waking days were accompanied by the rhythmic throb of the walking drum.
We heard it’s muted thunder roll against the distant hills, through sunlight and storm. That drum was our god, our lord and master, and a warning to potential enemies.”

Any Book by Louis L'amour is great but this book tells history a lot better then ...

Any Book by Louis L'amour is great but this book tells history a lot better then the dry books we had to read in school.
L'amour tells a tale that is " I don't want to put the book down in till I'm at the end". Hope you'll try this book and his other books.

Great story mixed with a lot of forgotten history. Time spent reading it passed quickly.
