Henry C. Clark is Visiting Professor in the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism at Clemson University. He has published two books and several articles, many on the French and Scottish Enlightenments.

Duchamp A Biography is an updated edition of the book which first came out in 1998. For both new and old fans this is an engaging biography that brings to life one of the most fascinating artists of the twentieth century. This is primarily a text book but there are illustrations and photographs throughout. For this new edition some of Duchamp's artworks are reproduced in color where previously they had been in black and white. Also newly added and updated for this 2014 edition is material about Duchamp's love affair with Maria Martins which set into motion his ladt major work, Etant donnes. And there is also more in-depth information about that final work which had come to light since the biography was first published. The production values of the book are fair. The paper and reproductions are crips and clean, but the paperback binding is a bit flimsy. However, for the content, this book gets five stars and highly recommended for those interested in Duchamp and twentieth century art.

Challenging work experiences are the richest source of learning for today's managers. Yet lessons embedded in these experiences are not always obvious. This comprehensive book describes a critical yet under-researched element of how managers learn from these experiences: reflection. Today's workplace demands continual learning, which in turn requires reflection. While this book supports the prevailing view that reflection is central to experiential learning, it challenges the traditional views that it is the same as contemplation, that it is incompatible with management, and that it is time-consuming and unnatural for managers.

Original quantitative and qualitative research reported in this book indicates that two different yet complementary modes of managerial reflection exist: active and proactive. Active reflection is something that managers naturally engage in during challenging job experiences, whereas managers must be prompted to engage in proactive reflection. Both modes involve processes of intentional inquiry. Different forces are necessary to stimulate each type of reflection. Based on these findings, the claim is made that the potential to learn from experience is greatest when managers intentionally engage in both modes. Accordingly, a holistic model that integrates active and proactive reflection is presented. This model has important implications for theorists and researchers of managerial learning by identifying previously unreported aspects of reflection. It is also relevant to practitioners and companies who desire to enhance what their managers learn from their workplace experience.

About the Author
Dr. John Scheirs has worked extensively with poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and related polyesters. His early work involved studying the UV stability of PET and poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) in France and later he was involved with studying various industrial problems involving polyesters, such as photodegradation, annealing, crystallization behaviour, embrittlement, degradation by aminolysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis, environmental stress cracking, hydrolysis, nucleating agents, transesterification, injection moulding of recycled PET compounds, solid-state polycondensation, desiccant drying of PET and melt stabilization of PET. More recently in the period 1998-2000, he was the technical manager for Coca-Cola Amatil’s world-first PET reforming plant which converts post-consumer PET bottles into high-grade, high IV palletized PET for direct reuse in new bottles and injection and sheet moulding applications. John Scheirs is now the principal consultant with ExcelPlas Polymer Technology where he specializes in polymer recycling chemistry, formulation, processing and testing.

Dr. Timothy E. Long is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and the Macromolecular Science and Engineering Program at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, USA. Professor Long was employed at Eastman Kodak and Eastman Chemical for 12 years prior to joining the faculty at Virginia Tech in 1999. He has extensive industrial and academic experience in fundamental macromolecular chemistry, with an awareness of the industrial and commercial impact of polyester chemistry and processing, structure-property relationships. And polyester applications. His research interests include polyester ionomers, high-gas-barrier polyester for packaging, new polyester catalyst development. Thermotropic liquid crystalline polyesters, functional poly(lactides), and branched and hyperbranced polyesters. He is the author of over 100 refereed papers and holds 25 patents dealing with various aspects of macromolecular science and engineering.

loved it! Fun, sexy, and suspenseful!

I loved, loved, loved this book! The combination of the small town's charm and suspense was so fun! The writing is excellent, and the mystery kept me flipping the pages. I want a bad boy Maddox for my own, even if he does have a bit of baggage. I couldn't put this book down, especially as the story felt so real. My heart broke for Josie while she dealt with her grandfather's illness. I was so glad she got her happy ending! 5 Stars!

Great book.... love Sosie's work!

I love Sosie's books and immediately downloaded this book when I receive her email saying it was live and finished it in a day... and this book was as great as the last two! I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for more!!! I loved Maddox because he's different from most bad boys in books, because he wasn’t your typical "man-whore who sleeps with everyone around town and then meets the girl and drastically changes" guy. Don’t get me wrong those guys are fun too (think Jack Carson from Bad Boy's Baby) but....Maddox was the "I fell I love a long time ago before I left and I'm coming to get back what's mine, no matter what guy" and the first scene between Maddox and Josie proves he's that guy (loved that scene.. what a way to come home)!! I'm not sure how I feel about Josie, I think she was the perfect opposite for Maddox in this story but she didn’t make me want to be Team Josie. I'm not sure if it's how na�ve she seemed, or how hypocritical on things she seems (I mean let’s get mad he because has a secret but you had two (one was implied a few times but not explained further which seemed disappointing!). But again she balanced out Maddox’s character well, in my opinion.

One of the things I enjoy most about Sosie's books, is that she does a great job telling stories with romance, heartbreak (I feel the pain at points) and suspense , but she includes a small element of something different that you don’t find a lot…diversity. Her characters are interracial couples, who aside from the story’s plot, face a small bit of adversity because of their relationship. And while the ethnicity of the characters doesn’t matter and is not the focal point, it may or may not linger with you in the back of your mind as you read the stories and as other characters are developed in the story. Then Sosie creates this small moment of reality, where your reminded that he’s an ivory king and she’s a mocha queen, and it’s still a tough thing for some people to see together and accept, but in the end love is color blind and it’s only love that matters!!! It’s a small moment in each of her books, that most may not recognize it or read much into it, but as a bi-racial reader, I love those small additions to the stories.

What an awesome romance!

I loved this story! This book is so different from the usual romantic suspenses out there. It has a bit of humor from the little town of Saint Christie, but a lot of darkness on the inside. I loved sweet Josie, but Maddox stole my heart. They both wanted to do the right thing and protect the other, but they just needed each other in the end!
